Gillian & Liam, Leighinmohr House Hotel Ballymena/ Belfast Wedding Photographer

Hello Ladies and welcome to another photo-packed blog post! Hope you all had a good week and noticed my website update? Yes/No? Well, I have finished editing a few galleries - Gillian's, Amanda's & almost Dani's... And finally moving into Tasha's big Galway gallery! Much more work ahead of me with Nicky's wedding, helping my friend Christin shooting on Saturday and flying to Poland for my graduation. Anyone got their flights messed up by Ryanair?
Well, not me! With 3 flights so far - Poland - Brussels - Marrakesh I managed to escape the trauma and finally breathe knowing "not this time". They say the flight cancellation has to happen to everyone - I only hope it happens once, as I've experienced being "trapped" in Portugal for 2 weeks about 2 years ago because of Ryanair, but it's a story for another time.

Gillian & Liam

Coming back to you today with a beautiful wedding of Gillian & Liam, which I photographed in Leighinmohr House Hotel in Ballymena on the 5th of August this year. Gillian didn't have any prep photos, which is totally fine - sometimes camera shyness takes over and you just can't do anything about it. I was able to come to the hotel much earlier and greet arriving guests, take photos of the details and take a good look around. I loved how the venue was all white! Never been to the Leighinmohr House Hotel before and I was pleasantly surprised how bright it was inside, a real treat for a photographer.

If you could only see and hear people gasping to see Gillian! Absolutely beautiful vintage dress flattered her when she walked around with so much grace. She had 2 very simple plaits and a bouquet of peachy flowers. She looked relaxed and so happy to finally be there to see Liam & their daughter Faith. And obviously Liam! He was looking after Faith for the whole time & you could see how emotional this whole day was for him. During the ceremony, the pianist played "Harvest Moon" by Neil Young & we all enjoyed some prosecco and shortbread after. We had only about 5 minutes for couple portraits, but because we've had a family shoot before, Gillian and Liam were great and again, I just love how bright and soft those photos look. And then for the wedding cake! How pretty was that cake?! I dare you to google 'marks and spencer wedding cake' now - they don't come cheap and you will be surprised how stunning they look! Their Birdcage Wedding Cake available here. For the first dance, they choose a song by Johnny Cash & June Carter - It Ain't Me, Babe, which again wasn't a traditional choice of a romantic ballad, but I love how it was so them.

I leave you with some photos now, as I got a bit nostalgic myself :)
