Romantic, Candlelit Wedding at Hillmount House, Northern Ireland Wedding Venues
This wedding has now been featured in Rock My Wedding
A real treat today for all of you getting married in the colder months, around Christmas time perhaps, thinking about some original styling and colours that don't scream ''Santa is here''. Romantic, candlelit wedding at Hillmount House as a perfect example of jewelled colours scheme that's rich in tones, textures and completely new and exciting to look at. A classically beautiful, local Northern Irish wedding with drop-dead styling, florals and very relaxed, easy-going couple.
Many of my couples confess they aren't confident or comfortable in front of the camera, but I understand that and always follow their lead with minimal posing if any. This wedding is a great example of two people simply wanted to get married surrounded by their families, have beautiful images and not be fussed about structure, hours of posing and forced smiles. If a structure isn't your thing then I'm not there with 500 tricks to make you laugh or ask you to do any cringe things - I am simply photographing how it is, relaxed, natural and timeless wedding photography. I'd be the last person to ask your partner to whisper things into your ear, write letters to each other and then read and cry, or make them tickle you.
I am however able to promise you will look amazing in your wedding photos. As a woman myself, I know its tough feeling confident. Anxiety coming up to your wedding day can be difficult to cope with, there's a lot to think about in terms of family, travel, last-minute hiccups and all that jazz. On your wedding day, you want to feel and look your best and I can assure you, you will!
Now after all that sidetracked talk about looking fab in your wedding photos, let's get back to talking about the flowers, cake and the styling! It has to be my favourite use of burgundy at weddings of all time - paired with all shades of pink and red, creating something new and exciting to look at. It's all working together thanks to the florist (Victoriana Floral), stylist (Mood Events), the venue (Hillmount House), stationery (Freckles and Fern) and the cake of course (Sugar Cloud). This is a wedding styling that creates an atmosphere - turn all the lights off and let them enjoy their meal by the light of the candles and each other's company. I've had the pleasure of sitting along with the guest and I can 100% confirm, I'm still thinking about that dinner sometimes.
