This was a dream of a wedding! The stunning backdrop of this idyllic castle, emotional outdoor ceremony and fabulous reception full of music, food and Aperol! A real joy to witness this big day, which took months to plan and prepare, as couples families flew from Australia. Planning a wedding in France is a challenge, especially if you live in another country and your guests will fly from every part of the world. Nestled in the beautiful Côte d'Azur area of Saint-Tropez, Ramatuelle is a small hilltop village with stunning views all around, little cobbled streets, fab restaurants and bakeries offering amazing french pastry. My partner and I arrived in France 2 days ahead of Dina & Victor’s wedding, so we could visit the venue, look around for some photo opportunities and get used to the extreme 40’C temperatures around the French Riviera. Dina, Victor, their Video Team and I met at La Forge restaurant in Ramatuelle at about 7 pm and went on an adventure around town ahead of their wedding the next day.

I'm so happy to be able to finally show you this creative elopement inspiration I photographed in April in the South of France. It has always been a big goal of mine to photograph a Destination Wedding in France and I truly couldn't have better clients and suppliers to work with. Lucy and Hayden are the sweetest coupe a photographer could ask for, an amazing team of vendors making all our ideas possible and a very private, romantic Château De Roussan. Every corner of this amazing, hidden provençal gem was photo-worthy, starting from the front entrance, long driveway, pool, garden and all the greenery around. Everything provided a stunning backdrop for our beautiful destination couple. We wanted this shoot to feel more like a luxury elopement at the French Château and give some ideas of how you can incorporate pastel pink, grey and Provence into your own wedding. I'm so excited for my upcoming destination weddings and I'm hoping to be back photographing a destination wedding in Provence soon!
