Relaxed Beach Wedding in Saint Tropez, Cote d'Azur // Wedding of Dina & Victor
The Saint Tropez wedding of Dina and Victor was a highlight of the past summer. Lush greenery, amazing white sand and fabulous ceremony location overlooking the valley were as close to tropical perfection as a wedding can get. Just walking around the little huts made us feel like we’re in Polynesia, the temperature was reaching 40*C over lunchtime, so we were all glad the ceremony wasn’t until 5 pm. The whole day wasn’t taking place in Saint Tropez, but rather on the beach along the coast, in the region of Ramatuelle. It’s a small commune in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France, with its capital (Ramatuelle town) overlooking wine valleys and Saint Trop itself. It’s those sandy beaches you’re thinking of when talking about Saint Trop or south of France in general, as the town itself has only one small, rocky beach to its name.
Yes, now back to the topic of the wedding, those palm trees got me sidetracked.
Myself, the videographers, MUA, wedding planner and everyone present at the prep had a total blast. We met the couple and their family members during the rehearsal dinner the night before, so we were all totally comfortable with each other. Even the children warmed up to constant camera clicks and us all running around all excited. Then it was time to leave for the ceremony and it only got better.
Ther ceremony took place at the cliff edge near Cap Camarat lighthouse, it was the most beautiful place overlooking the sandy beaches and high hills. Dina and Victor found it earlier that week and opted for a very relaxed & personal humanist wedding. I loved how intimate it felt, with connection to their personalities, families and the landscape. It was the most magical evening.
We continued the celebrations at Cabane Bombou, a beach restaurant serving probably the best truffle pasta I’ve ever had. Oh yes, my boyfriend and I went there the day before and enjoyed it under the ‘‘location scouting’’ tag and they literally shaved a kilogram of truffle on my plate. Much respect.
The evening was mellow and everyone enjoyed themselves on the beach. We had an unplanned first dance, veil toss and lots of activities for the children. Still very warm we welcomed cold drinks and the sunset, then we hit the main restaurant for sparklers entrance and dinner. It was a perfect evening, pleasantly warm, atmospheric with candles and live music. The only thing missing was the cake, which arrived shortly after the videographers and I left. French pastries had always a way of messing up with not only our figures but also plans.
